One of my good friends, Ginny, introduced me to blogging through her own blog that I read faithfully. So, with all of the craziness that happens in my life as a mother of four, a preacher’s wife, and a teacher, I thought I’d use this avenue to give and get support to anyone who falls in the same category(ies). Sometimes, it’s nice to know that you aren’t the only one going through what you’re going through, you know? Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading about my interesting, but not-so-interesting life!
I’m finally settling in from a long day – most of which was spent in Reston, VA at an ENT specialist for my oldest son. He jammed tiny pieces of eraser in his ear that were removed with the neatest little vacuum-like gadget I’ve ever seen! There will be so much more to share about him in future blogs!
I am about a week and a half from the start of a new school year which always brings mixed emotions. Sad about our summer fun ending, yet excited about meeting my new group of students. Frustrated about all of the things that I didn’t accomplish this summer on my to-do list, yet eager to shop for new supplies and materials for my classroom and my kids. Lastly, my husband has been at home all summer recovering from surgery, and I’m going to miss not being around him all day every day. He will be heading back to work in a few weeks (although he’s not 100%) and because he is a pastor, that means less time with us occasionally.
2010 has been a year with many ups and downs and it’s not over yet! We’ll see what’s in store for the second half of the year. I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all!
