Our day ended up being much busier than we had planned. We thought our day was starting with swimming lessons for Cubs 1 and 2, but they were cancelled. Then we took the cubs to A Family Place to Play. I’m not sure if this is just a Waldorf thing, but it’s a huge room filled with moon bounce-like equipment, and the kids have a ball. They also have a 3 and under area for Cub 3. She enjoyed herself and was the only one to cry when we had to leave.
After playing, we had an appointment for Cub 4 to have her pictures taken. We were feeling very guilty about neglecting our fourth cub. With Cub 1, we had his pictures taken every three months. But from there, it’s gone downhill!! Cub 4 is six months old and we hadn’t had any professional pictures taken of her! So, here are a few shots from her session today.
After pictures we had to do grocery shopping. This has become such a huge part of our week. We draw a lot of attention already because we have to push around two carts. Add to that Cub 3 crying because she couldn’t open a package of Oodles of Noodles and Cub 4 crying because she wanted to get out of her seat and Cubs 1 and 2 asking for every chip, cereal, drink, and toy they spotted – get the picture?? One kind man walked up to PB (Poppa Bear) and said “Hang in there!” Lol! We do try our best to act normal!
After getting home and eating dinner, we went out with the intentions of taking our daily walk, but it was very cloudy and we weren’t sure if we’d make it through, so the cubs played catch in the yard…with PB!!! It was great to see him throwing the football with the cubs considering about six weeks ago he couldn’t get out of bed without assistance and without tons of pain. I am so thankful for him and how hard he has worked at getting better and stronger every day. I spent a lot of time in the first few weeks after his surgery in tears wishing I could help take the pain away, but today there’s joy when I think about what God has done for him!
Peace and blessings!
