This is Day 11 of a 31-Day Series called Bear in Mind: Cubisms.
“I can’t stay here any longer! My butt is sweating!”
The Party of Six is on the road tonight. We are on our way home from a second service in Spotsylvania, Virginia, where Poppa Bear (PB) had to preach this evening. We travel A LOT as a family and here are my top four tips for what it takes to make trips longer than 45 minutes successful and less stressful:
1. Feed your cubs. Bring snacks or stop for snacks. Full tummies don’t whine or complain.
2. Expect multiple bathroom breaks. We have a travel potty, but we still stop constantly.
3. Be ready to answer, “Are we there yet?” and “How much longer?” multiple times. No need to get frustrated.
4. When the cubs are really getting along well, the car gets even louder. It’s the perfect time to play the Quiet Game. This game only works once per trip, so use your best judgement as to when to start the game.
Most importantly, thank God for safe travels upon arrival at your destination!
