In Times Like These

Most of us, especially on the east coast, woke up to the tragic news of yet another mass shooting in another least expected place. A new hashtag “pray for [insert city/country]” almost seems to be a weekly trend. With each heartbreaking incident, we have to choose our response. We can live in fear, or we can live fearless through God. I choose the latter.

What’s it like being married to a preacher man? I pray for him. A lot. I pray that God gives him a Word. In times like these, our church family looks to him for an encouraging word, a comforting word, a courageous word. A word to get us through the newest tragedy. I can’t imagine having that responsibility…so I pray that God gives him the right words to get us through times like these.
